Following a gruelling NBA regular season, the San Antonio Spurs advanced all the way to the finals where they fended off tough opposition, particularly during the Conference playoffs.
After a second-place finish in the Western Conference regular season, the Spurs booked a play-off berth where they met the Portland Trail Blazers in Round one. Led by a relentless Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs recorded a 111-98 win over the Trail Blazers in Game one on 20 April at the Frost Bank Center.
The Trail Blazers levelled the series in Game two with a narrow 106-103 win two days later. The Spurs then went on a three-match winning streak, capped by a 114-95 victory in Game five to secure a 4-1 series win.
Advancing to the Conference semi-finals, the Spurs met the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game one, falling to a 104-102 loss in San Antonio. The series was tied on two occasions before Game five when the Spurs secured a 126-97 win over the Timberwolves on 13 May. As the series clincher, the Spurs then went on to claim a dominant 139-109 win over their counterparts as Stephon Castle noted an impressive 32 point haul at the Target Center in a 4-2 Series win on 16 May.

The Spurs kicked into gear in the Western Conference finals as they met the powerful Oklahoma City Thunder who finished first in the regular season.
Game one ended 122-115 in favour of the San Antonio Spurs at the Paycom Center on 19 May with Wembanyama scoring 41 points to stake his claim among the best players in the NBA currently.
The Series was then tied on three separate occasions en-route to Game seven, which the Spurs edged in a thrilling 111-103 win against OKC at the Paycom Center on 31 May.
Wembanyama once again rose to the top with 22 points for his side, followed by Julian Champagnie who recorded 20 crucial points for the Spurs.
