South Africa will continue their preparations for the 2025
Rugby Championship when they host Georgia at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, July 19.
The Springboks halted New Zealand's four-year winning streak by lifting the trophy in 2024 - their first triumph since 2019 - as they went on to enjoy a hugely successful season after winning 11 of their 13 matches.
Rassie Erasmus' side have started the 2025 campaign strongly on home soil, comprehensively beating the Barbarians 54-7 at the at the Cape Town Stadium on June 28 before recording solid back-to-back wins over Italy.
Six different players touched down in the 45-0 victory against the Azzurri on July 12, with Edwill van der Merwe scoring two tries, while Manie Libbok made four of his seven conversions.
Erasmus is set to hand loosehead prop Boan Venter and hooker Marnus van der Merwe their Springbok debuts in Mbombela as he plans to rotate his team once more to build up squad depth.
"I think we would love to give a few guys their first Test. Boan and Marnus should be in the picture," Erasmus said, after Asenathi Ntlabakanye, Ethan Hooker and Cobus Wiese made their bows against Italy last time out.
"We've taken the entire group to Mbombela and will possibly only keep some squad members here until Wednesday. After the Test against Georgia, the entire squad will get a week off. We'll probably then call in around 35 players before we play against Australia."
The Lelos began the month with a 34-5 defeat to Ireland in Tbilisi before they jetting off to South Africa, where they warmed up for the Test by taking on the Cheetahs, who ran out narrow 24-20 victors on July 11.
Shalva Aptsiauri scored both tries for the visitors and Tedo Abzhandadze was perfect from the kicking tee, making his two conversions and two penalties.
