Serie A
Matchday 22
Juventus vs Napoli
Allianz Stadium
Turin, Italy
Saturday, 25 January 2025
Kick-off is at 19:00
As one of the feature bouts in Serie A football this coming weekend, Juventus will host reigning league champions Napoli to the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
Juventus failed to make it three wins on the spin during Matchday 21 this past weekend after suffering a 1-0 loss against Cagliari at Unipol Domus on Saturday. The Italian giants were unable to make the most of their scoring chances while Luca Mazzitelli separated the two sides with a goal in the 65th minute.
As it stands, Juventus are fifth on the log with 39 points to their name after 21 games. Overall, Juve have now recorded three wins, one draw and a single defeat in their last five matches.
Regarding Napoli, Antonio Conte’s charges put an end to their three-match drawing streak via a 1-0 win against Sassuolo on Saturday.
Stanislav Lobotka’s seventh minute opener proved to be the only goal of the tie as Napoli took their tally to 46 points.
While Napoli struggled to find positive form, the current league kings jotted down two wins and three stalemates in each of their last five Serie A ties.

Speaking after Juventus’ win over Cagliari, coach Luciano Spalletti expressed that his side needed to be more clinical in attack and hoped for better luck in their next fixture.
"Cagliari deserved it, because they fought for every ball, closed up and tried to go on the counter," Spalletti said.
"We were unable to be determined enough in preparing those situations. There are games that go like this, we move on.
"We needed to be more determined and make more of our chances, but also the free kick where they scored was so unnecessary and they used that opportunity. Maybe next time luck will turn our way, but it's nothing unusual."
