The Western Conference All-Stars will be looking to continue their recent dominance of the Eastern Conference All-Stars at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on the morning of Monday, February 19.
The West have won the
NBA All-Star Game 12 times since the turn of the millennium and last lost to the East in 2014 before claiming victory the subsequent three years.
The format shifted to a draft from 2018 to 2023 which saw the two highest-voted players from each Conference act as captains, but the NBA returned it to its previous iteration this year.

LeBron James will make an NBA record 20th appearance for the Western Conference All-Stars as one of the five starters alongside Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns) and Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets).
The Los Angeles Lakers small forward is averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.8 assists this season as the Pacific Division franchise battles for a place in the playoffs
However, James will not feature against Utah Jazz in the Lakers' final game before the All-Star break as he is nursing a minor ankle injury that is not expected to threaten his participation in four days' time.
"I'm just humbled and very blessed, obviously," James said of his 20th selection as an All-Star. "I don't take it for granted, being an All-Star."
