2024 Bahrain Grand Prix is set to take place in a desert area located in the Southern Governorate of Bahrain, Sakhir on 2 March.
What to know about the Bahrain Grand Prix
The first race took place at the Bahrain International Circuit on 4 April 2004 and it made history as the first Formula One Grand Prix to be held in the Middle East.
The race was given the award for the "Best Organised Grand Prix" by the FIA in 2004 and the Bahrain International Circuit which has a FIA Grade 1 license.

The 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix was won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing-Honda and he went on to win the 2023 Formula One world championship.
It was a race dominated by Red Bull Racing-Honda as Sergio Perez finished second while Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin Aramco-Mercedes secured a third-place finish.
Favourites
Having won the last three Formula One world championships, Verstappen is a clear favourite to win the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix.
Verstappen's teammate Perez, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso are among the favourites.
The most successful driver in the history of the Bahrain Grand Prix with five wins, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes will also compete in this year's race.

“We ran a completely new car that seemed to be in a good window straight out of the box. We scanned the whole set-up, the whole up and down with the car, and it seemed to respond and react well.”
