LEICESTER CITY VS MANCHESTER UNITED – KING POWER STADIUM, LEICESTER

Following their topsy-turvy encounter against Wolves last time out that ultimately ended in a disappointing defeat Leicester City restored some pride with a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday, however a run of just one win in their last six in all competitions has seen Claude Puel’s side slip into the bottom half of the table.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s unbeaten run in charge of Manchester United was brought to an end at Old Trafford by Burnley on Tuesday after the Red Devils were forced to claw themselves back from two-goals down to secure a hugely important point. Paul Pogba scored his 9th league goal of the campaign to reignite the revival before Victor Lindelof’s first for the club brought United level.

Leicester have won just one of their previous 21 meetings with Manchester United in all competitions – that famous come-from-behind 5-3 victory in this fixture back in September 2014.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 2-2 draw, ending a 4-match losing run for the Foxes, after Harry Maguire equalised late on following Juan Mata’s brace for the visitors.

Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw were on target for United in their 2-1 opening day win over Leicester in August with Jamie Vardy netting a late consolation – the Englishman’s 5th goal against the Red Devils.

MANCHESTER CITY VS ARSENAL – THE EMIRATES STADIUM, MANCHESTER

Pep Guardiola is certainly feeling the pressure and will have been left with plenty to ponder about after seeing his City side somehow surrender their half-time lead to lose 2-1 at Newcastle United last time out , a result which could see them head into Sunday’s crucial clash sitting down in third place in the Premier League, if Spurs manager to beat the Magpies on Saturday.

Arsenal are seeking to get their season back on track after their strong start. Back-to-back top-flight wins have seen the Gunners firing for top-four contention once again as Unai Emery’s men leapfrogged Chelsea into the coveted final UEFA Champions League place with their latest 2-1 win over Cardiff on Tuesday.
