Chile will face Germany in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup final at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg, Russia on Sunday. La Roja booked their place in the final after defeating Portugal 3-0 on penalties following a goalless draw in the first semi-final clash in Kazan on Wednesday. As a result, the South American champions are still undefeated in the tournament. In the group stage they recorded two draws and one win. The last time Chile were beaten was over two weeks ago. Romania stunned them 3-2 in an international friendly match in Cluj-Napoca.

Meanwhile, Germany reached the final after defeating a hapless Mexico side 4-1 in the second semi-final clash in Sochi on Thursday. The World champions are also undefeated in the tournament having registered two wins and one draw in the group stage. The last time Die Mannschaft tasted a defeat was against France at the 2016 UEFA European Championship. They were beaten 2-0 by France in Marseille. Chile and Germany have met eight times. The latter have won five matches compared to Chile's two victories.
