Manchester United will play host to a fired-up Burnley FC side in a
Premier League encounter at Old Trafford on August 30.
Current Form
The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham FC away on August 24 and they are winless in their last two matches in the league.
United have also lost two of their last three home matches in the Premier League, while the other game ended in a victory at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Burnley secured a 2-0 win over Sunderland AFC at home on August 23, ending their five-match winless run in the Premier League.
However, the Clarets are winless in their last three away matches in the league, having recorded one draw and two successive defeats on the road.
Team News
United have Noussair Mazraoui and Lisandro Martinez on their injury list at the moment, but the team has no suspension worries.
Burnley, on the other hand, also do not have any suspension concerns, but Jordan Beyer, Connor Roberts, Armando Broja, Bashir Humphreys, Axel Tuanzebe, Zeki Amdouni and Manuel Benson are all on the team's injury list.
Quotes
“It’s normal [the external noise about not winning in the first two games of the season]," United captain Bruno Fernandes said after his side's draw with Fulham.
"When you play for Man United, you know what’s about, you know the noise that is going to be about for anything and everything.
“You just have to get used to that, to understand what you have to do to improve yourself and the team and help the team to win games.”
Head-to-Head
United and Burnley drew 1-1 in their last meeting in the league, which was on 27 April 2024 at Old Trafford.
As a result, the Red Devils are undefeated in their last six matches in the Premier League against the Clarets, having recorded four wins and two draws.
