Liverpool will be aiming to build on their positive start to the
2021/22 English Premier League season when they welcome Burnley to Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds got their campaign up and running with a 3-0 win at Norwich City. Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah scored on the opening weekend for the fifth season in a row - a Premier League record - but much of the spotlight fell on Virgil van Dijk who made his long-awaited return to action.
Van Dijk missed most of last season due to injury and the Dutchman's absence was a key factor to Liverpool's poor defence of their Premier League title.
"It was a tough game for many reasons and 3-0 sounds comfortable," Van Dijk told Sky Sports in the aftermath.
"It's about getting into normal habits, shouting at your teammates, repetition. I've made great steps in pre-season and this was another big step today."
Burnley's poor form carried into the new campaign as they fell to a 2-1 loss at home to Brighton & Hove Albion. The Clarets opened the scoring at Turf Moor only to lose following two quick-fire goals from the Seagulls.

Last season, Burnley claimed a famous 1-0 win at Anfield before a 3-0 win for the Reds away from home in the reverse fixture.
