R25 Sign-Up Bet
  1. The Betway Welcome Offer gives customers a Sign-Up Bet of R25.
  2. The offer is only valid for new Betway customers.
  3. To qualify for the Sign-Up Bet, the customer must pass FICA verification at the time of registration.
  4. Once a customer has registered with FICA approved details, they will be sent a One Time Pin (OTP) to the mobile number they registered with Betway. Customers need to allow for at least 30 minutes for the OTP to be sent. Once the OTP is received, the customer must visit betway.co.za/Account/Vouchers and enter the OTP in the Voucher Claim Box to claim their R25 Sign-Up Bet.
  5. The Sign-Up Bet has no hidden requirements. Customers who place bets using their Sign-Up Bet will receive any and all winnings (minus the initial Sign-Up Bet stake, and subject to the limit specified in 12 below) and that amount will reflect in their cash balance – ready for another bet or to be withdrawn upon meeting withdrawal requirements.
  6. The R25 Sign Up Bet can only be used to place wagers on sports events, and cannot be transferred, substituted or exchanged. No Sign-Up Bet balance can be withdrawn.
  7. Any winnings from the R25 Sign-Up Bet cannot be withdrawn until a customer has made a minimum deposit of R25 and wagered the deposit of R25 in full.
  8. A Sign-Up Bet is available for a maximum of 180 days from the date that the Sign-Up Bet was credited to your Betway Account. If not used, your Sign-Up Bet will automatically expire after 180 days and will be removed from your Betway Account (unless specified otherwise in specific promotional terms).
  9. Your Sign-Up Bet must be used in its entirety as a single bet. This single bet can include single or multiple selections in one bet.
  10. Should the Sign-Up Bet be placed on a selection that is later voided, the original Sign Up Bet wagered amount will be returned to your Betway Account.
  11. The Sign-Up Bet is non-refundable and the wagered amount is not included in any winnings. Only the winnings will be paid to your Betway Account, e.g. if you wager R25 using your Sign-Up Bet, with odds of 4.0, the potential return would be R100. However, since the R25 wagered is a Sign-Up Bet credited to your Betway Account, only the winnings of R75 will be added to your Betway Account.
  12. The maximum return on any Sign-Up Bet is R5,000.00.
  13. If you make a withdrawal, any Sign-Up Bet balance you have available will be forfeited.
  14. Betway's general Terms and Conditions shall apply to all interactions with Betway, and must be read in conjunction with all other terms and conditions relating to promotions. In the event of a conflict between these Sign-Up Bet Terms and Conditions and Betway's general Terms and Conditions, Betway's general Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  15. Betway reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time, without cause and/or notice.
Win Boost
  1. This feature allows Multi Bet winnings to be boosted by up to 100%.
  2. For each leg with odds of 1.2 or more added to your Multi Bet betslip, we’ll boost your winnings.
  3. A valid Betway account is required to participate in this promotion.
  4. Boosted winnings apply to cash wager pre-game selections only.
  5. The Win Boost is calculated on multiple bets with five or more selections.
  6. The boost starts from 5% (for five events) and it increases as you add more selections to the betslip, up to 100%. The more selections you add to your betslip, the bigger your Win Boost.
  7. Minimum odds of 1.2 are required for each leg on the Multi Bet betslip. Non-qualifying legs will not count.
  8. Upon settlement, boosted winnings will be credited to your account as cash.
  9. Total return (potential return + win boost) on winning bets cannot exceed a maximum of: (a) 1 to 5 legs – R1,000,000; (b) 6 to 9 legs – R2,000,000; (c) 10 to 19 legs – R5,000,000; (d) 20 to 30 legs – (R10,000,000).
  10. Single Bets and Outright and Tournament bets are not eligible for boosted winnings.
  11. Any betting markets that can either result in the customer having their stake returned or generate a partial win are excluded from boost winnings e.g. Draw No Bet.
  12. If any selections are cancelled or voided, only the remaining qualifying selections will be eligible for the Win Boost. The remaining selection must meet the minimum odds and number of bets required to be awarded a Win Boost. The actual boost awarded may therefore be different to the boost amount stated in the original betslip.
  13. Win Boosts are automatically shown in your betslip, if you do not see a Win Boost, then you do not qualify. No manual adding of boosts will be done.
  14. Should you take an early cash out option on your betslip, your Win Boost will be forfeited.
  15. We reserve the right to monitor all customer activity for cheating, irregular play and bad faith. All such activity is prohibited and may result in the immediate dismissal from any promotion.
  16. Standard participation requirements and terms and conditions apply.
  17. All entries from disqualified participants’ cellphone numbers will be rejected.
Early Cash Out
  1. We may offer the option 'Cash Out' for placed bets: You will have the option to accept settlement of bets you have placed before the result of the bet is determined. The ‘Cash Out’ amount is calculated based on the current odds and is subject to change depending on when you chose to accept a 'Cash Out'. If ‘Cash Out’ is available for a placed bet, the corresponding symbol will be displayed in the ‘My bets’ section of My Account or through the Betslip “My Bets’ Widget.
  2. The ‘Cash Out’ functionality is available for single and multi-bets only.
  3. Where any bet is frozen or closed immediately after the customer's request, but before the conclusion of the 'Cash Out', the 'Cash Out' will be blocked.
  4. If the ‘Cash Out’ value has changed immediately after the customer’s request, but before the conclusion of the 'Cash Out',  a message confirming this change will be displayed to the player, and the player must then confirm if they are happy to accept the change.
  5. We reserve the right to withdraw or suspend ‘Cash Out’ offers without further notice.
  6. We do not guarantee the availability of ‘Cash Out’ offers for any event or betting type at any time, even if it has been previously offered for the same event or betting type.
  7. We assume no liability if ‘Cash Out’ is not available for technical or any other reasons. We recommend explicitly not to place bets based on the assumption that ‘Cash Out’ may be available at a later point in time for the relevant bet.
  8. If any technical issue causes an error in the calculation of pay out of a ‘Cash Out’ offer, we reserve the right to cancel the offer, or in the event that the ‘Cash Out’ has already been paid, to recover the payment.
  9. If a ‘Cash Out’ is accepted by us when the result of the relevant bet has already been determined, we reserve the right to void the ‘Cash Out’. We also reserve the right to void and reclaim any ‘Cash Out’ where there is indication for abuse of the ‘Cash Out’ feature.
  10. The ‘Cash Out’ functionality is not available for bets placed as ‘Free Bets’.

  6. A Free Ticket is available for as long as the coupon for which it was awarded is open.
  7. Any Free Bet balance must be used in its entirety as a single bet. This single bet can include single selections or multiple selections in one bet.

  10. The Free Bet and Free Ticket is non-refundable and the Free Bet wagered amount is not included in any winnings. Only the winnings will be paid to your Company Account, (e.g. if you wager ZAR 2 using your Free Bet, with odds of 4.0, the potential return would be ZAR 8. However, since the ZAR 2 wagered is a Free Bet credited to your Betway Account by the Company, only the winnings of ZAR 6 will be added to your Betway Account.)
  11. The maximum return on any Free Bet is ZAR 5,000.
  12. The Maximum return of a Free Ticket is limited to the maximum potential return of the coupon on which the Free Ticket is placed.

  14. Before any withdrawals are processed, your play will be reviewed for any irregular playing patterns. In the interests of fair gaming, should the Company deem that irregular game play has occurred, we reserve the right to withhold any withdrawals and/or to recover all winnings.
  15. Your total account balance consists of a Cash balance, Free Bet balance and a Free Ticket Balance. Withdrawals cannot be made from the Free Bet and Free Ticket balances.

Asian Handicaps:

  1. An Asian handicap is a market where a handicap is applied to the match in order to make the odds more equal. The handicap price varies from Scratch, (0, also called Level Ball) up to any number of goals in order to balance the odds and give each of the two team’s comparatively comparable price. The handicap line increases from Scratch in ‘Quarter Goals’ or ‘Quarter Balls’, expressed as + or – 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2 etc. to reflect the expected dominance of one team over the other.
  2. The favourite in a match will have a minus handicap represented with a (-) symbol and will have to win by more goals than the handicap in order to be a winner. The underdog in the match will have a positive handicap represented with a (+) symbol which will be added to the final score.
  3. Whole ball and half ball handicaps: The handicap is applied to the final outcome of the match and the team with the most goals after the handicap has been applied will be the winner. If the number of goals for each team are level after the handicap has been applied, it will result in a push with the stake being returned.
  4. A split ball handicap is where the level of favouritism is between a half ball and a whole ball. The handicap is presented as 0 : 1/4. In this instance, your stake is being split equally between the whole ball and half ball handicaps.

General Motor Racing Rules:
Outright Team/Driver Championship Betting: Any bets placed on any participants who do not end up competing for some reason will be losing bets. Bets will be determined by the amount of points accumulated directly following the podium presentation of the final race of the season and will not be affected by subsequent enquiries.

Individual Race/Meeting Betting: All in compete or not. In the event of a disqualification, the podium presentation will count as the 'weigh-in' and establish the settlement of bets. The start of any motor race is defined as the indicator to commence the warm up lap. Any driver on the grid at this time and failing to be classified as finished under the certified body rules will be classed as a runner and a non-finisher.

Match Bets: Bets are settled on the driver who finishes in the best position. Both drivers need not complete the race. If neither driver finishes, the one who has finished most laps will be the winner. Should both drivers withdraw having finished the same number of laps then all bets will be cancelled.
