The
2019 Open Championship will take place at the Royal Portrush Golf Club in County Antrim, Northern Ireland between 18 and 21 July.
It is one of the four major championships in professional golf, and it is also the oldest of the four.
It will be the second Open Championship at the Royal Portrush Golf Club, 68 years after the first in 1951.
The defending champion is Italian golfer Francesco Molinari, who won last year's tournament with a score of −8, pairing with Tiger Woods in the final round.
American golfer Woods will be looking to go all the way and clinch his fourth Open Championship title this year.
Former winners Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Henrik Stenson, Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els will also compete in the tournament.
South African golfer Els will be hoping to clinch his third Open Championship title having won the competition in 2002 and 2012.
The 2019 Open Championship offers a $10,75 million purse with a winner's share of $1,935 million.
