Wits, Sundowns eye semi-final spots

Bidvest Wits will be away to GladAfrica Championship side Real Kings in the 2019/20 Nedbank Cup.
 
The match will take place at the Sugar Ray Xulu in Durban on Friday, March 13.
 
Kings secured their place in the quarter-finals after recording a 2-1 win against their GladAfrica Championship rivals Mbombela United in the Last 16.
 
While Wits advanced to the last eight following a comfortable 2-0 victory over fellow Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Chippa United.
 
Meanwhile, Baroka FC will battle with their PSL and Limpopo rivals Black Leopards on Saturday, March 14.

The match is set to be played at the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue, Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Baroka progressed to the quarter-finals after overcoming ABC Motsepe League side Hungry Lions 4-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw.
 
On the other hand, Leopards eased into this round after recording a 2-0 win over ABC Motsepe League outfit Amavarara.
 
Mamelodi Sundowns will be away to fellow PSL side Highlands Park on Saturday, March 14.

The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.
 
Highlands sneaked into this stage after registering a 5-4 victory on penalties against their PSL rivals Kaizer Chiefs following a 1-1 draw.

Their visitors, Sundowns eased into the quarter-finals after brushing aside ABC Motsepe League outfit Vaal University of Technology 2-0.

Pitso Mosimane, the Sundowns coach, is wary of a tough Highlands side ahead of their encounter.

"It is going to be a difficult game‚ Highlands are a tough team‚ a hard-tackling team. You need to be in good physical condition and shape to play them‚” Mosimane said.

"You don't need to go 120 minutes with Highlands‚ especially at home‚ their place. It is not a nice place to go‚ not too many people come out with a victory there.”

Lastly, NFD outfit TS Sporting will face off with PSL side Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday, March 15.

Sporting booked their place in this stage after securing a 4-3 victory over ABC Motsepe League side Happy Wanderers in extra-time.

On the other hand, Celtic advanced to the last eight after edging out their PSL rivals Maritzburg United 3-2.
