Argentina and South Africa will square off in the 2017 World Rugby U20 Championship Pool C match in Tbilisi on Thursday. The Pumitas are coming off a narrow 26-25 defeat to France in their last Pool C game which was played in Tbilisi on Monday. This was Argentina's first defeat in the tournament having won their first pool match which was against Georgia last week Wednesday. The defeat to France sees the Pumitas placed second on the Pool C standings with six points. Third-placed France have also accumulated six points. Meanwhile, the Baby Boks recorded a 38-14 victory over Georgia in their previous Pool C match which was played on Monday. This was South Africa's second consecutive victory in the tournament. They defeated France in their first pool match. As a result, the Baby Boks are sitting at the top of Pool C standings with seven points. They are a point ahead of second-placed Argentina. Argentina and South Africa have met three times in competitive matches. The former have won two matches compared to Baby Boks' one win.
