Sevilla will square off AS Roma in a Round of 16 of the
UEFA Europa League match at the Schauinsland-Reisen Arena on 06 August 2020.
The Spanish outfit reached this stage after they eliminated Romanian giants CFR Cluj in the Round of 32 tie in February 2020 on the away goals' rule.
However, Sevilla are winless in their last three matches in the Europa League having recorded two draws and one defeat
The last time they secured a win in the competition was against Azerbaijan giants Qarabag FK as they won 2-0 at home on 28 November 2019.
Julen Lopetegui, the Sevilla manager, has turned his focus to the Europa League after his side ended the 2019/20 Spanish La Liga season with a win over Valencia on 19 July 2020.
"We've done it and we've adapted to the circumstances. The assessment is very positive, with lots of new players and a style of play where we've tried to be recognisable," Lopetegui said.
"Roma is on my mind. We've seen them, today they played against Inter [Milan] and tomorrow we'll see. There's a few days to go, but in our head we're beginning to think about them, 100%."
Meanwhile, Roma secured their place in the Round of 16 after they defeated Belgian side Gent 2-1 on aggregate in the Round of 32 tie in February 2020.
The Italian giants are undefeated in their last four matches in the Europa League having recorded two draws and two wins.
The last time they lost a game in the competition was against German side Borussia Monchengladbach as they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat away on 07 November 2019.
This will be the maiden competitive meeting between Sevilla and Roma.
