RB Salzburg are set to take on Liverpool FC in a Champions League Group E match at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday.
 
The Austrian champions hammered Belgian side Genk 4-1 in their previous Group E game which was played in Belgium on November 27.

The win left Salzburg placed third on the group standings having accumulated seven points from five matches.
 
Jesse Marsch, the Salzburg manager, has lauded Liverpool manager as the best coach in the world ahead of their clash.

"Jurgen Klopp is probably the best coach in the world right now," Marsch told Omnisport.
 
"I think you can fairly say that from the way his team is performing and the history he has in the game, and the way that he's had success in Germany and England."

Meanwhile, Liverpool were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Italian giants Napoli at home in their previous which was played in England on November 27.
 
The draw left the former English champions sitting at the top of the group standings having collected 10 points from five matches.
 
The last competitive meeting between Salzburg and Liverpool was on the 2nd of October 2019.
 
Liverpool secured a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Salzburg in a match which was played at the Anfield Stadium.
