McLaren's Lando Norris will be hoping to maintain his recent good form at the United States Grand Prix on Sunday, October 22.

The Brit has profited from the remarkable progress made by his team since the start of the season when the two drivers regularly finished outside the points in the opening eight rounds.

Norris has appeared on the podium five times in the subsequent nine races, including P2s in the British Grand Prix, the Hungarian Grand Prix, the Singapore Grand Prix and the Japanese Grand Prix.

The 23-year-old came in just 1.336 seconds behind McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri in third place at the Qatar Grand Prix as they both finished on the podium for the second time this season.

Norris finds himself nine points behind Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in seventh place, while McLaren are closing in on Aston Martin in the Constructors' standings, with the two teams separated by only 11 points.

He believes even Ferrari can be caught if the Woking outfit can keep delivering consistent performances in the remaining five races.

"It's doable, I think so. A couple of races ago it was 70-something [points] to Aston," Norris said. "I think we're doing a good job, not just in terms of pace, but we had a 1.8-second pit stop, which is pretty impressive from the guys.

"They've been working extremely hard, so to reward the whole team consistently is only more motivating and a bigger boost every weekend.

"They like the taste of success. It's the first time they're getting it consistently and I think that only makes them want it more and more and more every weekend that we're doing, so the guys are doing a great job. I think [as drivers] we're both doing a decent job, too, so we'll keep it up."
