North London derby headlines Round 4 of the Premier League

Round 4, 31 August – 1 September

The pick of Round 4 matches in the Premier League this weekend is clearly the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.

The enmity runs deeps between these two clubs, who have clashed in 172 previous matches: the Gunners have claimed 70 wins compared to 54 for the Lilywhites. Last season the Gunners took four points off Spurs in the Premier League, winning 4-2 at home and drawing 1-1 away.

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino

The opening game of the round is an intriguing clash between Southampton and Manchester United at St Mary’s, with both teams looking to build some much-needed momentum. The Saints have not beaten the Red Devils in the teams’ last seven league and cup meetings.

Other key matches to look out for include champions Manchester City at home to Brighton & Hove Albion (with Pep Guardiola’s side heavily favoured to shoot down the Seagulls), while title rivals Liverpool have a potentially tricky match away to Sean Dyche’s hard-working Burnley at Turf Moor.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho

Sheffield United will look to keep up their attacking style with a clash away to Frank Lampard’s Chelsea, Crystal Palace face a must-win clash at home to Aston Villa and Newcastle United will hope to take the sting out of Watford when they host the Hornets at St. James Park. Support your team with the best soccer betting site in South Africa – Betway!
