Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen has a fight on his hands as he looks to defend his slender lead over team-mate Sergio Perez at the
Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, May 7.
The reigning two-time World Champion is just six points ahead of Perez in the drivers' standings after four races, having finished 2.137 seconds behind the Mexican in P2 at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on April 30.
Verstappen kicked off the season with victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix before being pipped to the checkered flag by Perez at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, although he returned to the top of the podium at the Australian Grand Prix.

The Dutchman will be targeting his sixth straight podium in Miami Gardens, where he won the inaugural race at the Miami International Autodrome in 2022, 3.786 seconds ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.
The 2023 campaign hasn't been smooth sailing for Red Bull despite their early dominance, with a driveshaft failure hampering Verstappen's efforts in qualifying at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, while Perez experienced technical problems during Q1 at the Albert Park Circuit.

Verstappen admits there will be a few challenges to overcome in Florida, the heat being chief amongst them.
"I'm looking forward to Miami, it was a very physical track and also really hot there last year, so we need to be prepared for that," the 25-year-old said.
"It's definitely not going to be easy. It's quite a complex circuit and I think they resurfaced the track again this year so let's see how that impacts our performance."
