Tiger Woods will be determined to emulate golf icons Walter Hagen and Jack Nicklaus by winning the 2022
PGA Championship.
The American superstar has won this tournament four times in 1999, 2000, 2006 as well as 2007 and only two golfers have won it more than him.
American legend Hagen won the PGA Championship a record five times (all in match play), while his compatriot Nicklaus won a record five titles in the stroke-play era.

Woods made his return to professional golf by competing at the Masters' Tournament in March this year having suffered career-threatening leg injuries in a California car crash in February 2021.
The 46-year-old not only played at Augusta National, he made the cut, beating the likes of Jordan Spieth, Brooks Koepka, Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau.
The fact that Woods' weekend scores of 78-78 – his highest ever at the Masters – hardly took away from what was seen as a successful return to competitive golf.
The 11-time PGA Tour Player of the Year will hoping to win his 16th golf major tournament by clinching the PGA Championship and move closer to Nicklaus' record of 18 titles.

“We started ramping up a week or so ago, played a little bit more golf, and it was good,’’ Woods said.
“It’s only going to keep getting stronger. The more I use it, the more strength it gains. Am I ever going to have full mobility, no. Never again.
"But I’ll be able to get stronger. “I’m excited about (this week). I’m not going to play that much going forward so any time I do play, it’s going to be fun to play and to compete," he added.
"There are only so many money games you can play at home.’’
