It will be the 19th round of this year's Championship and it will be held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

The circuit began staging championships in 1963–1970 and 1986–1992. The Grand Prix returned in 2015 at the circuit.

Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen is the defending champion having won last year's race.

Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes and Ferrari's Kimi Räikkönen finished second, and third respectively.

Current leader Lewis Hamilton could wrap up this year's Drivers’ Championship this weekend if he finishes seventh or above.

However, Mercedes are still locked in an interesting battle with Ferrari for the 2018 Constructors’ Championship with the former just 66 points ahead.

Raikkonen’s victory in the previous round (2018 USA Grand Prix) set up an enthralling final three races for the leading four drivers.
