The Whites are undefeated in their last four games as the hosts in this competition having recorded four successive wins.

Zinedine Zidane, the Madrid manager, says he is aware that Chelsea are a good team and he provided an update on the injured duo of Dani Carvajal and Eden Hazard.

“Let’s enjoy a little first and rest a little, because we still have games before. We know that Chelsea is a very good team," Zidane said.

"He is feeling better and he is ready. He wants to be back more than anyone else.

"We have been more cautious with [Dani] Carvajal and Hazard, because they are relapses. They are both better and that is good for the team."

Meanwhile, Chelsea advanced to the semi-finals after claiming a 2-1 aggregate victory over Portuguese champions FC Porto in the quarter-finals.

The English giants also eliminated Spanish giants Atletico Madrid from this season's Champions League Round of 16 as they won 3-0 on aggregate.

Chelsea are undefeated in their last five matches as the visitors in this competition having recorded five consecutive victories.

Madrid will host Chelsea for the first time in a competitive match.

The last time there was a competitive meeting between the two teams was in the 1998 UEFA Super Cup in Monaco and Chelsea emerged 1-0 winners.
