Patrick Cantlay will be keen to go level with Kenny Perry in terms of
Memorial Tournament titles won since the event was established in 1976.
Perry is the second most decorated golfer in the history of this event having clinched three titles with Tiger Woods being the only golfer to have won more trophies than him with five wins.
Cantlay, who is ranked sixth on the Official World Golf Rankings, has won this tournament twice in 2019 and 2020 in his career.

Nicknamed Patty Ice, Cantlay began 2022 in fine form with five top-10 finishes, including playoff losses to Scottie Scheffler in the WM Phoenix Open and to Jordan Spieth in the RBC Heritage.
Then Patty Ice stepped back into the winner’s circle when he partnered with Xander Schauffele to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last month.
The American star's Memorial scoring average of 69.90 ranks first and his career tournament earnings of $3,834,016.00 is second all-time behind Woods.
With his 2021 victory, Cantlay joined an exclusive club of players to win the Memorial more than once, joining Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Greg Norman, Perry, and Woods.

“He has this really incredible ability to focus. He just walked straight through the fire, unscathed," Schauffele said about Cantlay after they won this year's Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
"That’s some of the hardest, most stressful golf, and he enjoys that challenge. At this level it’s really hard to become friends with people you’re trying to beat all the time.
"But Pat has an ability to relax that you probably can’t see," the American star, who will also compete at this year's Memorial Tournament, continued.
"While we enjoy a lot of competition and push each other to be better, we also just enjoy talking and being low-key, spending time together.”
