Group A

Matchday 2
16-19 June

Wales will square off with Turkey in their second UEFA EURO 2020 Group A game at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan on June 16.

The two teams are set to meet for the seventh time across all competitions and Wales have the upper hand in this rivalry.

Wales have recorded three victories compared to Tukey's two wins, while one match ended in a draw.

However, Turkey claimed a 6-4 win over Wales in their last match which was the 1998 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Ali Sami Yen Stadium in August 1997.

Robert Page, the Wales caretaker head coach, says he could make alterations ahead of their clash with Turkey after leading his side to a 1-1 draw against Switzerland in their Group A opener on June 12.

“I was pleased with the performance but it doesn’t mean it will be the same personnel,” Page said.

“We’ll have a look for Wednesday because they [Turkey] pose a different type of threat and a different way of playing.

“We also have the option if we want to change it and go to a three at the back. We can play a Harry [Wilson] type of forward. We have the options and flexibility which is great.”

Meanwhile, Switzerland are set to battle it out with Italy in their second Group A match at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on June 16.

This will be the 21st meeting between the two teams across all competitions with Italy having dominated this rivalry.

Italy have registered nine victories compared to Switzerlands' three wins and eight matches ended in a stalemate.

Switzerland managed to hold Italy to a 1-1 draw in the last meeting between the two teams which was an international friendly match at the Stade de Geneve in June 2010.

Italy claimed a 3-0 win over Turkey in their opening Group A game on June 11.
