Rooted to the bottom of the NBA Eastern Conference, the Washington Wizards will now welcome the Portland Trail Blazers to the Capital One Arena on Wednesday.
The Wizards are currently one a nine-match losing streak and last tasted victory on 7 January where they claimed a 120-112 win against Orlando Magic at the Capital One Arena.
As they hope to gather momentum, the Wizards last featured in a narrow 119-115 loss to the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Centre on 24 January. In their game against the Hornets, the Washington side set out the youngest team in NBA history, as Tre Johnson, Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George, Bub Carrington and Will Riley recorded an average age of 20.64 years.
The Portland Trail Blazers are currently in ninth position in the Western Conference after 23 wins to their name so far this season.
Portland recently noted two defeats on the spin, namely against the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics respectively. Prior to their last two encounters, the Trail Blazers went on a four-match winning streak, which included a notable 132-116 victory over the Lakers on 18 January.

Speaking after the Wizards 119-115 loss to the Hornets on Saturday, Brian Keefe was full of praise for 19-year-old, Tre Johnson who noted 26 points and six assists.
"This guy has been in our gym, working on his craft," Keefe said.
"We know he can shoot and make plays for himself, but I've been really impressed with how he is involving his teammates."
