The Hammers are unbeaten in four matches after a 1-0 win over Burnley this past weekend. The east London club have kept three clean sheets on the bounce and victory moved them up to ninth on the Premier League standings.

"We’re not the old West Ham any more, we’re the new West Ham and we’re going to try to become even better," said Hammers boss David Moyes in the aftermath of their most recent win.

"There’s so much more that we can do, and that we’d like to do, and hopefully we can show it.

"It needs time and there will be periods when it’s not going so well. There’ll be periods when it is, but we’re certainly not settling for where we are. We’re already told the players to get their heads on Tuesday night because we need another good performance."

West Brom ended a seven-game run without a win with a 3-2 victory away to Wolves on Saturday. The result moved the Baggies within five points of safety and head coach Sam Allardyce is hopeful that his team will be able to build some much needed momentum, as they aim to avoid the drop.

"We look forward to gaining a bit of confidence now," said Allardyce.

"I'm asking the players to improve their overall fitness and technique by 1 percent - add that all up, and it's a big improvement. I'm asking for everyone to do that little bit more and be more consistent.

"Too early to tell (whether we stay up). The key factor is, at the end of January, what we've achieved in terms of recruitment. That will be a better indication," he concluded.

This will be the first league fixture between the two clubs since the 2017-18 season. A 0-0 draw at the Hawthorns was followed by a 2-1 win at London Stadium for West Ham, with Andy Carroll's brace enough to secure a comeback win for the hosts.
