Boston Celtics will be seeking a fourth straight win over New York Knicks when they face off at Madison Square Garden on the morning of Sunday, February 25.

The Celtics have dominated the Knicks this season, comfortably winning twice at the TD Garden after coming out on top by a four-point margin in their first meeting of the season.

Joe Mazzulla's team are leading the Eastern Conference by six games ahead of Cleveland Cavaliers and have the best record in the NBA of 43-12.

They beat Brooklyn Nets both home and away to go into the NBA All-Star break on the back of a six-game winning streak and the 136-86 rout in Boston on February 15 was Mazzulla's 100th win as head coach.

Payton Pritchard scored a game-high 28 points off the bench in the second outing against the Nets, with Derrick White and Jayson Tatum adding 27 and 20 respectively as starters.

Mazzulla, who went 57-25 in his first year with the Celtics, said their success over the past two seasons "is a testament to the people you have around you."

He added: "I tell the players, 'I can't be who I am if they don't let me. I'm grateful for that."

The Knicks strengthened their playoff bid with a fine start to the new year, winning 14 of their 16 games in January to put pressure on Cleveland Cavaliers (2nd) and Milwaukee Bucks (3rd) in the East.

But Tom Thibodeau's team lost four on the spin prior to the NBA All-Star break and Philadelphia 76ers are just 0.5 games back in fifth place.

Jalen Brunson scored 33 points in a 118-110 defeat to Orlando Magic on February 15 as the  injury-riddled Knicks had no answer to Paolo Banchero, who hit six 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 36 points.

"I thought our starters did a really good job," Thibodeau said. "We got into transition some so [Brunson] could attack before the defense got set. And then when he went to the bench, it changed."
