The Eagles suffered a 7-0 loss to the Reds in their most recent home match, leaving manager Roy Hodgson and his men visibly humiliated.
"There's nothing positive I can say. We're humiliated by the result," Hodgson told reporters in the aftermath. "We take it very, very badly. For most of us in the dressing room we've not been on the end of a 7-0 defeat before, so that's a new experience.

"We just have to come over it because that's what everyone has to do. There's no point in dwelling on it any longer than we really have to. We have to learn some lessons from it.

"The only (positive) thing I can see is that I don't think the players ever gave up. We weren't being bombarded with shots at goal or chances, but when the chances came their way they took them and were very clinical.

"We never stopped trying but unfortunately we were playing against a confident team," he concluded.
In stark contrast, Leicester claimed one of the standout results of the season in their most recent away game, defeating fellow title challengers Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in North London to move up to second spot before Christmas.

Leicester completed the league 'double' over Palace last season. Goals from Jamie Vardy and Çağlar Söyüncü guided the Foxes to a 2-0 win over Palace in the corresponding fixture last season and Vardy scored twice more in the most recent match between the two clubs, a 3-0 win at King Power Stadium in July.
