Pirates & Chiefs look move closer to Downs in DStv Prem

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to move closer to Mamelodi Sundowns in the DStv Premiership.
 
Pirates are set to play host to TS Galaxy at their iconic home ground Orlando Stadium on December 11.
 
The Buccaneers stretched their unbeaten run to four matches in the league when they drew 0-0 with AmaZulu FC in their last game on December 8.
 
The Soweto giants are also undefeated in their last three home matches in the DStv Premiership having recorded one win and two draws as the hosts.
 
Pirates will face a Galaxy side that ended its two-match unbeaten run in the league when they thrashed Chippa United 3-1 in their previous match on December 7.
 
The Rockets are winless in their last eight matches on the road having recorded seven defeats and one draw as the away side.

"We have to start scoring. We have to work on it. We have to give the players the belief and the support," Pirates' co-coach Mandla Ncikazi said after the draw against AmaZulu.
 
"If they play like this coaches can't blame them. We just have to try help them and work on the deficiencies that we have in the attacking third. Take the opportunities. Be calm. And be composed. 
 
"And dont have pressure. I feel there's a bit of pressure they have subconsciously which is resulting in what is happening right now."
 
Meanwhile, Chiefs are set to welcome Sekhukhune United at the biggest sports stadium in South Africa, FNB Stadium on December 12.
 
Amakhosi extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the DStv Premiership when they thrashed Swallows 3-1 away on November 28.
 
The Soweto giants are also unbeaten in their last two home matches having recorded one draw and one victory at the FNB Stadium.
 
Chiefs will square off with a Sekhukhune side which has lost two of their last three matches in the league having lost 1-0 to Marumo Gallants at home in their previous game on December 8.
 
Babina Noko have lost won two of their last three matches on the road in this competition, while the other game ended in a defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns on November 27.

While Sundowns will visit SuperSport United in the Tshwane Derby encounter at the 2010 FIFA World Cup training venue, Lucas Moripe Stadium on December 11.
 
Masandawana stretched their unbeaten run to 22 matches in the league when they edged out Royal AM 3-2 at home in their last game on December 8.
 
They are also undefeated in their last 24 away matches in this competition having recorded nine draws and 15 victories as the visitors.
 
Their city rivals, SuperSport snapped their three-match winless run in the DStv Premiership when they defeated Stellenbosch 1-0 away in their previous game on December 8.
 
However, Matsatsantsa are winless in their last two home matches in the league having registered two consecutive defeats as the hosts. 
 
Lastly, Royal AM will be targeting the bragging rights when they play host to Lamontville Golden Arrows in the KwaZulu-Natal Derby clash at the Chatsworth Stadium on December 12.
 
Thwihli Thwahla are now winless in their last two matches in the DStv Premiership after losing to the defending champions, Sundowns.
 
However, Royal AM are undefeated in their last six home matches in the league having recorded five victories and one draw at the Chatsworth Stadium. 
 
On the other hand, Arrows extended their unbeaten run to five matches in this competition when they edged out Chippa United 2-1 away in their previous game on December 4.
 
Abafana Bes'thende are also undefeated in their last two matches on the road in the league having registered one draw and one victory as the visitors.
