Chiefs, Downs & Pirates continue battle at top

The defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns are set to lock horns with Chippa United as the 2019/20 Absa Premiership action continues.

The match will take place at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday, February 15.
 
Sundowns will be looking to move closer to the top two teams on the league standings by securing a victory over the Chilli Boys.
 
While Chippa will be hoping to move further away from the relegation zone with a win over the Brazilians.
 
Pitso Mosimane, the Sundowns coach, has pleaded with Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt to beat Kaizer Chiefs too after the Students defeated Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup.
 
"Maybe I must speak to [Gavin] Hunt. Hey Hunty, come do your work, come do your stuff my brother," Mosimane said on Kick Off.
 
"You took four points from me with two draws, so take four points somewhere [else] also.
 
"JZ [Josef Zinnbauer] is on form, [Gabadihno] Mhango is on form. Let's see. We will go to FNB Stadium. We will see what happens at FNB stadium, you may never know. Watch this space."

Meanwhile, four-time Absa Premiership champions Kaizer Chiefs will square off with Maritzburg United on Saturday, February 15.

The match is set to be played at the 2010 FIFA World Cup final venue, FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Chiefs will be looking to stretch their lead at the top of the league standings with a victory over the Team of Choice. 
 
On the other hand, Maritzburg are eager to cement their spot in the top eight on the league table with a victory over the Soweto giants.

Lastly, Black Leopards will play host to four-time Absa Premiership champions Orlando Pirates on Sunday, February 16.

The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Thohoyandou Stadium in Limpopo. 
 
Leopards will be looking to move further away from the relegation zone on the league standings with a win over the Buccaneers 

Their visitors, Pirates are keen to cement their spot in the second spot on the league table with a victory over Lidoda Duvha.
