Saturday, 29 May 2021
Kick-Off: 21h00

Chelsea FC will be determined to win the 2021 UEFA Champions League title when they face Manchester City at the Estadio Do Dragao on May 29.

The Blues will be making their third appearance in the final and they are hoping to win the tournament for the second time.

They finished as runners-up in their maiden appearance in 2008 as they succumbed to a 6-5 defeat on penalties to fellow English side Manchester United following a 1-1 draw.

However, Chelsea clinched their first-ever Champions League title in 2012 after defeating German football powerhouse Bayern Munich 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 stalemate.

Mason Mount, the Chelsea midfielder, reflected on their semi-final win over Spanish champions Real Madrid and he is looking forward to facing City in the final.

"We should have probably had about five [goals]. To get that one late on, you could see what a massive goal it was for us," Mount said.

"There's still one game left, and we go into every game to win. I haven't won anything yet and hopefully we can win. It's going to be a stunning game.

"It was a great performance tonight in a tough, tough game. We know what they're like – they were going to come and give it everything."
