Celta Vigo will square off with Villarreal CF in a Spanish LaLiga match at the Abanca-Balaídos on January 8.
This will be the 31st meeting between Celta and Villarreal across all competitions since 1998.

The last meeting between Celta and Villarreal in a league match was on 13 June 2020. Villarreal edged out Celta 1-0 in an encounter which was played at the Estadio El Alcoraz.
Celta secured a 2-0 win over Deportivo Alaves in their last home game in the league which took place on 20 December 2020. The win extended the Sky Blues' unbeaten run to three matches at home in LaLiga having recorded three successive victories.
Celta have been boosted by the availability of Santi Mina after the forward recovered from an injury.
"Good news in the celestial infirmary. Santi Mina completed training normally along with the rest of his teammates and received a medical discharge," a club statement read on December 28.
"The celestial youth squad, who was injured two weeks ago during the game against Cádiz, will be at Eduardo Coudet's disposal."
On the other hand, Villarreal suffered a 2-0 loss away to Sevilla in their last away game in the league which was played on the 29th of December. The result ended the Yellow Submarine's unbeaten run of six matches on the road.
