Cagliari Calcio will square off with AC Milan in an Italian Serie A match at the Sardegna Arena on January 18.
The Islanders suffered a 1-0 defeat to Fiorentina away in their previous league game which was played on January 10.
The loss extended Cagliari's winless run to 10 matches in this competition having recorded four draws and six defeats.
They are also winless in their last five home matches in Serie A having registered two draws and three defeats.
Meanwhile, Milan secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Torino at home in their previous league game which was played on January 9.
The victory saw the Red and Blacks return to winning ways in this competition after Juventus ended their 27-match unbeaten run.
They are still undefeated in their last 15 away games in the Serie A having registered four draws and 11 wins.

Stefano Pioli, the Milan manager, was pleased with his side's performance against Torino and he hopes they can do well in their upcoming matches.
"I was not surprised by my boys, I was expecting such a response. Mine is a young but strong team. After the match against Juventus we wanted to show that we are a top-level team," Pioli said.
"We played a very high-level first half in my opinion, especially in terms of quality. Torino are a healthy team and in the second-half we had to grit our teeth. I am very satisfied with the game tonight and with the performance of the boys.

The last meeting between Cagliari and Milan in the league was on 1 August 2020.
Milan proved too strong for Cagliari as they emerged 3-0 winners in a match which was played at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
