Bayern Munich will battle with Chelsea in the
UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg clash at the Allianz Arena on 08 August 2020.
The German champions secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Chelsea in the first-leg match which was played in England on 25 February 2020.
The win extended Bayern's unbeaten run to seven matches in the Champions League having recorded seven consecutive victories.
Bayern are also undefeated in their last three matches at home in the competition having registered three successive wins.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are wounded and they will be keen to overturn the deficit and secure their place in quarter-finals.
The Blues saw their five-match unbeaten run in the Champions League come to an end when they succumbed to a heavy defeat to Bayern at home.
However, they are undefeated in their last three matches on the road in the tournament having registered two successive victories and one draw as the visitors.
Christian Pulisic, the Chelsea winger, is happy with his form ahead of their clash with Bayern having faced them his during days with Borussia Dortmund.
"I’ve been really pleased with my form since the restart, especially," Pulisic said.
"I think I was able to come in with a different mindset, because I was fully fit and rested heading into the season starting again.
"I really wanted to prove myself following the injury and help the team, and I think I’ve been doing that recently."
The last time Bayern hosted Chelsea in a competitive match was on 19 May 2012.
The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League final and Chelsea won on penalties at the Allianz Arena.
