The 2026 BMW Championship, the second event of the FedExCup Playoffs, will be played at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, from August 20 to 23.
What to know about the tournament
Established as part of the FedExCup Playoffs, the BMW Championship features the top 50 players in the FedExCup standings after the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Held at the historic and challenging Bellerive Country Club, the tournament continues its tradition as a high-stakes mid-playoff showdown with a rotating venue format.

The 2026 BMW Championship field is headlined by world No. 1 and defending champion Scottie Scheffler, alongside major champions including Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele.
Recent winners Patrick Cantlay, Keegan Bradley and Viktor Hovland, together with form players such as Tommy Fleetwood and Cameron Young, will also compete at Bellerive.

The 2026 BMW Championship boasts an impressive total purse of $20 million, with the winner taking home a massive top payout of $3.6 million.
The tournament champion will also secure crucial FedExCup points and valuable Official World Golf Ranking points, while the top 30 finishers advance to the Tour Championship.
