Rayo Vallecano will be looking for recovery in terms of a higher
La Liga finish when they lock horns with Getafe at Estadio de Vallecas on Friday night, 2 May.
Vallecano have been in poor form lately, having lost three out of their last four matches. Their most recent result was a 3-0 loss to Atletico Madrid.
Inigo Perez will be hoping that his charges can improve with their performance, as the dip has seen them drop down to 11
th position in the league standings.
Senegalese central midfielder Pathe Ciss has been a standout performer for the home side, making 29 appearances in La Liga this season.
Getafe are 12
th in the standings, and are coming off a 1-0 loss against their derby rivals Real Madrid.
Getafe head coach Jose Bordalas has stated that his team always approaches their matches with a winning mentality.
“We would have liked better results at home, although we were hampered in some, like the last one,” he admitted.
“We have to be aware that we’re a small club that has struggled from the start. We have to demonstrate, maintain, and defend that value every game.”
Bordalas has stressed the need for perfection from his team going forward as they target a better finish in La Liga.
