Quotes

“I'm pleased with the way the team played. It was a good performance at an important moment in the season," Ancelotti said after their win over Cadiz.

“We're doing really well and you can see that on the pitch. The team has energy and the fact that we have a 35-year-old [Karim Benzema] who had a fantastic game on Wednesday night

"And three days later he put on another great display, which is a sign that the team's doing well," he continued.

“We could do better in the league, but we suffered a lot in January. We dropped points that give us a disadvantage at the moment.”

Head-to-Head

Madrid claimed a 4-1 win over Celta in their last meeting in La Liga with the match taking place at the Estadio de Balaídos on 20 August 2022.

As a result, the Whites are enjoying a 17-match unbeaten run in the league against Sky Blues having recorded 15 wins and two draws.
