Fabian Quartararo will be determined to record his first victory of the 2022 MotoGP season at the Indonesian Grand Prix on March 20.

The French star started his defence of the MotoGP world title with a ninth-place finish at the Qatar Grand Prix on March 6.

Quartararo was 11th on the grid at the beginning of the race and he was pipped to the eighth spot by Pramac’s Johann Zarco by 0.007 seconds.

Ducati rider Enea Bastianini won the 2022 Qatar Grand Prix and he was followed by KTM rider Brad Binder, who secured the runner-up spot.

While Honda rider Pol Espargaró finished third in a race that took place at the Losail International Circuit in Lusail.

Therefore, Bastianini is sitting at the top of the Riders' standings and the Italian rider is followed by Binder and Espargaró respectively.

Quartararo is currently placed ninth on the Riders' standings with seven points and he will move up on the table if he wins the Indonesian Grand Prix.

“Well, knowing that last year we won both races and now we finish basically behind, quite far back, of course, I’m worried,” Quartararo said after the 2022 Qatar Grand Prix.

“I will not say I’m confident. We make the fourth row, going to Q1 in Qatar. So, I will say I cannot be super confident. But I’ll always say, I am not an engineer.

“My job is to give 100% and focus for every race, and I give my 100% in every condition; if I’m fighting for the victory, P3, P5, P9, I give my 100%," the 22-year-old added.

“So, that is something that for sure I will give my best whatever the position I get.”

Ducati are placed at the top of Manufacturers' Championship standings and they are followed by KTM and Honda respectively.
