With Inter Milan setting a steady pace in Serie A this season, the Italian giants could extend their extraordinary winning streak when they take on a tricky Juventus outfit at the San Siro on Saturday.
Following their 5-0 demolition of Sassuolo last Sunday, log leaders Inter opened up an eight-point gap over second-placed AC Milan, who have a game in hand.
Inter have now accumulated 58 points after 24 matches played and are currently on a run of five consecutive wins in the league. Along with their rampant form, Inter scored 57 goals so far, more than any other team in the league.
Juventus, who are gunning for a place in Europe once more, jotted down a 2-2 draw with Lazio in their most recent Serie A assignment. The game against Lazio saw Juve’s two match winning streak come to a grinding halt, after they gained maximum points against Napoli and Parma respectively.
As it stands, Juventus are in fourth place on 46 points after 24 matches and recorded three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five.

Reflecting on the upcoming game, Inter coach Cristian Chivu expressed that he has all the trust in his side to deliver the goods on home soil.
“Inter-Juventus? It's just another game,” Chivu said.
“We know expectations are high, but I trust this group. They have ambition and are always looking to be competitive.
“We'll see how we show up, but it will be with determination, ambition, and confidence in what we've achieved so far.”
