Brooks Koepka will be keen to continue his dominance at the Phoenix Open by successfully defending the title on the TPC Scottsdale course.

The American star is one of the favourites to win this year's tournament having won the event in 2015 and 2021 - making him one of the most decorated players in the competition's history.

Koepka would become the second golfer to lift the Phoenix Open three times after record winner Arnold Palmer if he wins this year's tournament.

When Koepka won the Phoenix Open in February 2015, he moved to 19th in the Official World Golf Ranking as he secured a one-shot win and his first PGA Tour title.

In February 2021, Koepka won the tournament again after he overcame a five-shot deficit on the final day, with a 6-under-par 65.

Koepka ended last year by winning The Match - a major professional head-to-head competition - against rival Bryson DeChambeau at the Wynn Las Vegas.

"It was fun to come out here and settle this. I'm not going to lie. I just wanted to spank him," Koepka said after the event.

“I wouldn’t say it’s that big of a rivalry. I mean when you’ve got 4-1 and the 1 was during Covid and I didn’t play?

"So, I don’t know how big of a rivalry that could be. When you win a major and I’m there then it might be more credible.”
