The 2022 Italian Grand Prix is set to take place in Monza which is a city in the Lombardy region of Italy on September 11.
 
This will be the 16th round of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship season and it will be held at the Monza Circuit.
 
It is one of the two Grands Prix (along with the British) which has run as an event of the Formula One World Championship Grands Prix every season, continuously since the championship was introduced in 1950.
 
The most recent race in the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship season was the Dutch Grand Prix which was won by Max Verstappen on September 4.

Mercedes driver George Russell and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished second and third respectively at the Circuit Zandvoort.
 
Verstappen, who is in great form at the moment, is still at the top of the 2022 Drivers' Championship standings having accumulated 310  points.
 
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc (201 points) and Red Bull Racing-RBPT driver Sergio Perez (201 points) are placed second and third respectively in the standings.
 
While Russell (188 points), Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr (175 points) and Hamilton (158 points) are placed fourth, fifth and sixth respectively in the table.

"It’s been an incredible reception here, a really special feeling for all of us drivers to come racing in Zandvoort and in Holland," Russell said after the Dutch Grand Prix.
 
"As a team we showed incredible pace today, I know the team result wasn’t quite what we hoped for, but this gives us a lot of confidence and a lot of faith going forwards.
 
"It’s incredible to see three different teams on the podium and we as Mercedes are slowly getting closer to that top step, so let’s keep on pushing."
 
Red Bull Racing-RBPT are placed at the top of the Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Ferrari and Mercedes respectively.
