US Open for the fourth time which would match the record currently held by Willie Anderson, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus.

Woods is tied for first in PGA Tour wins, ranks second in men's major championships, and holds numerous golf records including being awarded the PGA Player of the Year a record 11 times.
Therefore, the American sports icon is undoubtedly one of the greatest golfers of all time and he is an inductee of the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Woods has been inactive from competitive golf since he took part in the 2024 PGA Championship last month and he missed the cut.
The former world number one is now set to make his return to competitive golf at the 2024 US Open and he is currently placed 829th on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).
Why Woods is one of the favourites
Woods, who received a special exemption for the first time in his career, was crowned US Open champion in 2000, 2002 and 2008.
The Cypress, California-born legend's 15-stroke win in 2000 at Pebble Beach remains the largest margin of victory in US Open history and he is now targeting his fourth title.

“I’m honored to receive this exemption and could not be more excited for the opportunity to compete in this year’s US Open, especially at Pinehurst, a venue that means so much to the game.”
