Legends continue on exciting Betway 12th Man journey
Following the launch of the second season of the Betway 12th Man program, the ground-breaking initiative exclusively targeted at former athletes convened the first two workshops with the 12 selected retired sport stars between 19 – 20 June, as well 02 – 03 July 2024.
With the continued plight of unemployment, and at times depression faced by retired athletes in South Africa, the re-introduction of the Betway 12th Man comes at an opportune time for the legends, with season 2 specially designed to provide participants with practical tools to reinvent themselves in the worlds of sport, media, and business.
Each program provides athletes with the knowledge and skills needed to step into the behind the scenes world of sport, while also exposing them to the ever-changing environment of business and entrepreneurship.
The first two workshops covered the following topics:
Workshop 1
- Personal Brand & Creative thinking
- Understanding the sports business
- Self-Ownership
Workshop 2
- Hospitality
- Sponsorship & Case Study
- Harvard Business School Case Study
The next Betway 12th Man is set for 23 – 24 July 2024
